I wish there was information somewhere about how these rifles get imported and the story behind them.Mosin–Nagant M1891 Dragoon from the collections at the Swedish Army MuseumĪnnexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation US-made milled receiver with correct selector stop (please note: Century Arms does not warranty that all accessories such as cleaning rods, oil bottles, slings, bayonets and/or magazine pouches) The wood furniture on these rifles maybe laminated, hardwood or a mix of both. These are based on the real AK-47 and not the commonly-confused AKM carbines that are riveted together. Century Arms contracted the manufacture of these carbines on new milled receivers with enough US-parts to keep them 922-compliant. The Polish military never issued these rifles and the parts remained unissued. These carbines started life as unissued Polish select-fire carbines from 1960 where they sat until Century Arms purchased them. How do you know? Did you use a cold blue solution to see if it stained the barrel? Every dealer I asked said that the barrel was US made and not chrome lined. I keep hearing complaints about the barrels, but my 1960 is definitely chrome-lined. I would buy if Century did two things, blue them like the original and chrome line the godamn barrel! I hope to post pictures with report after I pick it up. I don't know the truth behind this so anyone who knows please chime in. I also heard that Century did not assemble these. I found out ATM is "About Time Machining" and there the ones who manufactured the milled recievers. I've seen some of the threads on here already and I know these havent been on the market that long so any additional info would be great. So I'm curious if anyone on here owns one of these or has any experience with them.
So I'm excited but scared at the same time due to my history with Century Arms ak's. Even with that logo I was still impressed and the price was right so I put 300 down and plan on getting it this next weekend I got to hand pick my rifle and I found one with matching numbers on the carrier and bolt, definitley another plus. Then I saw the Century Arms engraving on the reciever. I was blown away with how smooth the action was and how clean all the moving parts were. I took 20 minutes to disassemble the system and inspect it.
I went into my local gun shop the other day and saw they had these POLISH milled Ak's for $559 with 3 magazines. Well I sold that to friend a few months ago and stuck with m AR's. It took 2 more of these rifles from the gun shop to actually get it to function properly. It jammed and combat accuracy was not there. So I got the Ak bug again :D I bought a GP1975 Century Arms a while ago and I was really really disappointed.
